Requirements for IT Systems - Security Guideline Active

New KBV IT security guidelines for psychotherapists' and doctors' offices from April 2021

The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) has adopted new mandatory IT security requirements for psychotherapist and physician offices. Here is a brief overview of the regulations that will come into force on 01.04.2021:

  • Use of more up-to-date virus protection programs
  • Network security, e.g. through firewalls
  • Network plans and documentation

Other regulations will come into force on 01.01.2022 and 01.04.2022 respectively which, among other things, are intended to ensure mobile devices such as cell phones and laptops can be locked remotely in case of a loss.

The requirements are demanding and not all of them can be easily implemented by a conventional IT department.

DriveByte wants to help medical practitioners realize these requirements together with the in-house IT department and prepare the respective office for KBV certification.

If you are interested and would like to receive a concrete offer for the realization of the KBV guidelines in your office, please contact us! You can reach us via the contact form on our website drive-byte.de or via email to info@drive-byte.de

You can find more information about the KBV-regulations on the main page of the KBV under PRAXISNACHRICHTEN and all adopted regulations in detail under RICHTLINIE NACH § 75B SGB V ÜBER DIE ANFORDERUNGEN ZUR GEWHRERISTUNG DER IT-SICHERHEIT.
